In the 1980s Al Ries & Jack Trout wrote a book “Marketing Warfare”, which remains one of the business classics of all time, from that day, the word Marketing Warfare still rings true, and over time marketing has become intense and fierce only. Look at the words used in Marketing: Strategy, red blood competition, Target, Aggressive, kill the deal, Win, Lose all are warfare words. Figuratively speaking we are in a war.
